Please arrange your visit in advance.
Please let us know of your intended visit by contacting Sterling Ultra Precision in advance and arranging a date to visit us. We can then make sure that we have all necessary engineering staff present, so that we can cover your exact requirements during demonstrations.
DEMONSTATION LABORATORY AND PLANT FACILITIES
Our Largo laboratory is fully equipped to demonstrate the lathes, fast tool servos, software and peripheral equipment for cutting of intraocular lenses, contact lenses, metal molds or advanced optical parts which are not rotationally symmetrical.
It is equipped with a complete range of metrology equipment, including an interferometer, microscopes, and the Taylor-Hobson Form TalySurf (PGI), to measure form accuracy and surface finish of any parts we cut for you. Customers are encouraged to bring parts cut on other machine systems in order to make direct comparisons with those cut on our ultra-precision Optoform lathes.
All lens design software modules are also available, so that you can assess the extensive capabilities of the machines.
If you would like to cut a very unusual or experimental lens design or material, please discuss this with us before your visit. We can then ensure that one of the software engineers will be available to program your lathe files, and that we are properly set up to work with your specific material.

Theme parks
Central Florida is a world-famous tourist destination, and visitors to Sterling may enjoy visiting some of the Orlando theme parks: Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot Center, Universal Studios, Sea World, MGM, Wet and Wild or one of many others.
Tampa’s most popular theme parks are Busch Gardens and Adventure Island.
Golf and sports
